Hoji and Ameonna had an incestuous affair, which made her happy and stopped the rain. In the Shadow Realm, the home realm of the demons, the rain is fueled by the weeping of Ameonna, the sister of Hoji and the other Ancients. Through the course of the game, Lo Wang comes across " Whisperers": magical golems which contain a memory (in place of a heart) that one of the Ancients, the immortals that rule the demons, chose to sequester away. By slaying these golems, Wang absorbs their memories and learns of the game's back-story. He also mentions that the Nobitsura Kage is actually three swords, and so Lo Wang seeks them out to merge them into one. Hoji explains that the Nobitsura Kage, as the sword is called, is capable of slaying immortals and is anathema to demons. Mizayaki is killed in the attack and Lo Wang allies himself with Hoji in hopes of retrieving the sword. Lo Wang is captured when Mizayaki reveals his bond with a demon named Hoji, and is caged, but escapes when demons attack the compound. Mizayaki refuses the offer and Lo Wang tries to take the sword by force, killing his men in the process. He is sent to purchase an ancient katana, the Nobitsura Kage, from a collector named Mizayaki for 2 million dollars. Lo Wang is an assassin who works for the powerful Japanese industrial magnate, Orochi Zilla. I do recommend it, but prepare for those tiresome parts.History Shadow Warrior Main article: Shadow Warrior (2013) But, the real problem is tough enemies and that long and tiresome area clearing. Overall, the game is actually pretty entertaining and enjoyable in visuals. I didn't like the voice for Lo Wang that much, I expected to be more like in the original, not stereotypical, but to keep the manly, growling voice with little accent. The actor who voiced Hoji was really good and entertaining. The jokes are nothing special, I found stereotypes more funnier in the original, but here, I wasn't that impressed. And the result is - it gets really tiresome. So, it is better to keep upgrading yourself. Even on easy mode, they are really hard and you will die often and waste your ammo. OK, areas here are smaller, but the enemies are insanely tough. That really looks like that Serious Sam crap, you know? Clear an entire big area, or you can't go anywhere. Now, this is the weakest point in the game, there are certain parts of the levels in which you have to clean the entire area, so that you can proceed to the next one. You know why? Because enemies are really tough. This is a pretty interesting idea, but it is an already used cliché and it is a tiny but frustrating. During your gameplay, you can open the menu and do the upgrades. Now, the changes are that Lo Wang can upgrade himself and his weapons. The avatar screen is good, and with your inventory and skills menu. The level designs are good, with great lighting, decent graphics, sound design and character and weapons are design is also great. We also have bosses, mafia bosses and some girl assassins, which does not serve too much to the story, nor are that much developed. I would like to refer to Hoji, a demon that shares a bond with you and serves as your guide and a sarcastic friend, he can be annoying from time to time, though he can be also funny. Here we have characters that, OK, thanks to the new engines, AI and graphics which are far more developed. In the original we had Wang, Zilla, Master Leap, bosses, enemies and some irrelevant chicks. The story is basically, re-told and it has some new characters. So, Lo Wang is again on its own to save the world from Zilla and his supernatural armies. Lo Wang is a leading hero, Zilla is the main villain of the story, and of course, it is about Zilla's betrayal. The game plot holds pretty much the same stuff from the original. So, the "remake" so to say, was inevitable. You know, when I first heard that there is going to be a remake of "Shadow Warrior" game, which was one of my favorite FPS games in the 90s.
